Owner Maintenance Requirements
The following items are considered owner maintenance requirements and are not covered under the warranty: service adjustments and cleaning; software upgrades; fixed (non-moving) body parts; batteries of all types and cables; belts; hoses and hose clamps; brakes (front hubs, drums, shoes, linings, disc rotors, and pads); manual transmission clutch discs; coolant; exhaust system components, including the catalytic converter; filters; fluids; lubricants; lights (bulbs, sealed beams, and lenses); spark plugs; spark plug wires; squeaks and rattles; tires; tune-ups; wheel balancing; wheel alignment; LED lights; shock absorbers; and compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) fuel-system conversion components.
Components and Repairs Not Covered by PremiumCARE
The following components and repairs are not covered under PremiumCARE: buttons, carpet, clamps, dash pads, door and window handles, knobs, trim, upholstery, CNG/LPG components, tires, water leaks, wind noise, weatherstrips, fabric, liners, zippers, and fasteners.

Transferable Coverage
If you sell your vehicle before your Ford Protect Plan coverage expires, you can transfer any remaining coverage to the new owner. Whenever you sell your vehicle, prospective buyers may have a higher degree of confidence that vehicle was properly maintained with Ford Protect thereby improving resale value.
